The West End is a hip, hotspot of redevelopment. Urban planners are studying the Washington Corridor as a "Livable Center," and hoping to help create a walkable, mixed-use place that offers transportation options, improves environmental quality, and promotes economic development.
Benjamin Levit, better known to food-loving locals and visitors to Houston as Benjy, will be our special guest.
After studying and working in the restaurant business in Los Angeles and New York, Houston-native Benjy and his wife Erica opened the original benjy's restaurant & lounge in an abandoned building in the pedestrian-friendly Rice Village. Buoyed by the critical and popular acclaim that has favored benjy's since it opened in 1995, Levit has brought a second, highly anticipated benjy's to Washington, a location twice as large as the original.
Join your fellow ULI Members and Benjy for an informal discussion of the potential to create a great urban district along Washington.
This exclusive event is free and limited to 60 ULI Members-Only.
